“I started riding at the age of 4 and turned pro at 7.” – Lance Graves
According to market studies, Lance Graves is the most recognized name in all of the sport of barrel racing.
Graves is a gifted trainer, rider, motivational speaker and international clinician conducting and competing in the US, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Panama, Brazil, Bolivia and France. He’s credited with developing these international markets for barrel racing horses in these countries as well as China.
In 2005, Graves incepted and produced the first annual Lance Graves Pro Classic barrel race in Kinder, Louisiana. Today, it is the second largest US event of its kind.
New projects in the works for Graves include expanding the training operation to include Quarter Horse racing and the 2017 North American launch of EquuTREAT ™, the self-produced, innovative three-day horsemanship retreat for women of all disciplines.
For the first time in 2016, Lance is honored to be featured as a trainer, competitor, clinician and guest speaker at the Retired Racehorse Foundation’s Thoroughbred Makeover & Symposium at The Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Kentucky on October 26 through 30. While in Kentucky, he’ll be visiting Kentucky Children’s Hospital bearing gifts of horse beanie babies for the young patients.
